Organization settings

An organization is the account that everything else belongs to: members, teams, actors, ingest keys, API keys and all recorded telemetry. Manage → Organization shows the organization’s name and its telemetry tenant. Any member can view the page; only admins can change the name.

Renaming the organization

The name appears in the top bar, on Manage pages and in the Switch org menu.

You must be an admin.

  1. Open Manage → Organization.
  2. In the Name card, edit Organization name (up to 120 characters).
  3. Select Save name.

The banner confirms “Organization renamed.” If the field is empty, the page shows “Organization name is required.”

Members see the current name with the note “Only an admin of this organization can change its name.”

Telemetry tenant

The Telemetry tenant card shows a read-only token that identifies your organization’s telemetry. Every session and tool call your actors send is grouped under it.

  • It is created with the organization and never changes, including when you rename the organization.
  • Neither admins nor members can edit it.
  • You never put it into agent configuration. Scout Trails works out the organization from the ingest key each agent sends.

If the page cannot load the tenant, the card says “No tenant token could be loaded for this organization.”
