Dashboard basics
The dashboard at https://ui.scoutmonitoring.io shows your organization’s agent activity. This page covers the navigation and filters every page shares, and the Overview page you land on after signing in.
Navigation
The header appears on every page once you are signed in.
- Scout Trails (the logo, top left) returns to Overview.
- The tabs Overview, Sessions, Tool calls and Trends switch between the four read pages. The active tab is highlighted.
- The organization menu is the button showing your current organization’s name. It contains:
- Manage — the management pages for your organization, actors, keys, teams and members. See Members, Actors and API keys.
- Switch org — appears only when you belong to more than one organization. It lists each organization, with the current one checked and disabled. Choose another to switch; the dashboard reloads the same page for the new organization, and your next sign-in lands there.
- The account menu is the circle with your initials. It shows your email address and contains Settings, a Dark theme or Light theme toggle, and Log out. See Signing in and your account.
Everything you see belongs to the organization named in the organization menu. Every member of an organization sees all of its data; your role doesn’t change what the read pages show.
Filters
Overview, Sessions, Tool calls and Trends each have a filter bar at the top. Change the controls, then select Apply. Reset returns the page to its defaults. The filters are part of the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
Window
Window sets the time range the page covers. It always ends at the moment the page loads.
| Option | Covers |
|---|---|
30d | the last 30 days (the default) |
7d | the last 7 days |
24h | the last 24 hours |
12h | the last 12 hours |
3h | the last 3 hours |
1h | the last hour |
Scope
Scope narrows the page to part of the organization. It is one dropdown with three kinds of option, and you pick exactly one:
- Whole organization — every actor’s data (the default).
- Teams — one team’s actors. When a team is selected, the Actors group in the dropdown lists only that team’s actors.
- Actors — a single actor.
The dropdown lists every team and every active actor in the organization, whether or not they sent anything in the window. Picking an actor that was idle shows an empty page, which means that actor sent nothing in the window. Deactivated actors aren’t offered, but their past data still counts toward Whole organization. If a link names a team or actor that isn’t in the list, the dropdown shows it under Selected by its raw ID.
Scope filters what you see; it doesn’t restrict access. Every member can pick any team or actor.
Times
All timestamps in the dashboard are in UTC and shown as YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SSZ. Chart axes and tooltips are also in UTC.
Load errors
If part of a page fails to load, that part shows a red banner such as Could not load this data., followed by “The read failed — this is not an empty result. Reload, or narrow the window.” The rest of the page still renders. An empty result is different: it shows a message such as No recent sessions. with suggestions.
Overview
The Overview page summarizes agent activity over the selected window. Its subtitle reads “Agent activity over the last” followed by the window. The filter bar has Window and Scope.
Summary tiles
Five tiles across the top summarize the window for the selected scope:
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Team spend | Total dollar cost of every model call in the window. |
| Sessions | Number of sessions with at least one tool call in the window. |
| Avg cost / session | Team spend divided by Sessions. Shows $0.00 when there are no sessions. |
| Time spent | Sum, over those sessions, of the time between each session’s first and last tool call in the window. This is elapsed time, not active time, so a long-running or resumed session contributes all of it. Shown as 3h 12m or, past a day, 40d 22h. |
| Active actors | Number of distinct actors that sent at least one tool call or model call in the window. |
Cost comes only from agents that report model calls with a cost, such as Claude Code. Codex CLI activity adds to Sessions, Time spent and Active actors but not to Team spend.
Below each value, the tile compares it with the previous period of the same length (for 7d, the seven days before the current seven). The change is a signed percentage such as +18% or -4%, colored by direction, or 0% when unchanged. When the previous period was zero there is nothing to compare with, and the tile shows no prior data.
Dollar amounts below one cent show four decimal places ($0.0042). Amounts of $1,000 or more are rounded to whole dollars.
Tool-call activity
A bar chart of tool calls over the window, one bar per time bucket. The bucket size depends on the window:
| Window | Bars | Each bar covers |
|---|---|---|
30d | 30 | 1 day |
7d | 28 | 6 hours |
24h | 24 | 1 hour |
12h | 24 | 30 minutes |
3h | 12 | 15 minutes |
1h | 12 | 5 minutes |
The rightmost bar is the period in progress. Hover over a bar to see its start and count, for example 2026-10-01: 412 tool calls on daily bars or 2026-10-01 06:00 UTC: 38 tool calls on shorter bars. To pick a different bucket size, use Trends. When there are no tool calls in the window, the chart shows No activity in this window.
Top tools
The eight most-called tools in the window, busiest first.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Tool | The tool’s name. Select it to open Tool calls filtered to that tool, in the same scope, over the default 30d window. |
| Type | The tool’s type as the agent classifies it, for example builtin or mcp. |
| Calls | Number of calls in the window. |
| Errors | Number of calls that ran and failed. Denied calls are not errors. Highlighted when above zero. |
| Avg duration | Mean duration of the calls that ran. Denied calls are left out. Shows — when no call of the tool ran. |
See all tool calls → opens the Tool calls page in the same scope. When nothing was called in the window the card shows No tool usage in this window. with a Try 30 days button.
Recent sessions
The ten sessions with the most recent tool calls in the window, with the same columns as the sessions list. See all sessions → opens Sessions in the same scope. When there are none the card shows No recent sessions. with a Try 30 days button.
